On the occasion of the imminent departure of Post 12074 Service Officer Michael Holmes to his new
digs in beautiful Idaho, our Post threw a Going Away Party for him on Friday, 10 June 2011.
The party was deemed a rousing success.
Comrade Holmes, in his role as our first Post Commander, was absolutely instrumental in getting
Chiang Mai Post 12074 started as a new VFW Post in the first place and his work as Service Officer,
which he will continue from afar, earned him the unequaled respect of one and all.
